Filmed in B&W 16mm and VHS, 20 mins., dance sequences performed by the street dance group Kinetic are interwoven with conversation and comments from the group. Sylvia Adjei, Audrey Adjei, Ngozi Alozi, talk about how the group started, cultural influences, performing, teaching and creative satisfaction.

anywhere we could dance

...there are millions of moves in there...we didn't repeat anything in the whole dance …I don't like that girl/guy dancing stuff.... the girl's moves are always so plain and simple and the guys get to do all the interesting technical stuff... it just makes you look like you're a dancer, you're a girl...and you're rubbish… ― Sylvia Adjei

The Big Youth Dance Film Screening, Royal Festival Hall, London 2005.

Bruce Grove Area Youth Club, Tottenham, N17, 2001/03.

The film celebrates the street dance group Kinetic and is a testament to their tenacity, perseverance and creativity. Though not directly, it raises the lack of support and opportunities for people who are not from privileged backgrounds finding pathways to further creative exploration ― in the film Kinetic comment with humour, that sometimes they did not even have the money for bus fares to get to a venue to perform.

Two garage tracks feature on the sound track ― 'HOLD ON' by Stephen Emmanuel & June Hamm, Inferno Records,1999; and 'WHAT U DO' Stephen Emmanuel & Eska Mtungwazi, Inferno Records,1999 ― Published by Universal Music Publishing Ltd.
